CANCER CHARITIES WELCOME SECOND PLAN VICTORY

The lives of millions of individuals will be improved with the Government's commitment to a new Cancer Plan. That's according to the Cancer Campaigning Group (CCG), a coalition of over 30 national charities, which has long campaigned for a new Plan to build on the many successes of the first NHS Cancer Plan, published in 2000. Influential Parliamentary Committee highlights need for updated Cancer Plan

The House of Commons Public Accounts Committee has published a report on the NHS Cancer Plan. The committee took evidence from the Department of Health and interested parties and concluded that the Cancer plan "needs updating". The Cancer Campaigning Group welcomes the focus of the PAC on the NHS Cancer Plan. Read more »
